Throw-In

Throw-In Backcourt in Transition

All backcourt throw-ins are administered by the Trail using the box-in technique. The Lead and the Center should remain, read, and assist when action in the backcourt requires coverage help, then position-adjust to observe ball and player movement. The Trail should remain slightly behind the ball handler. Throw-In Frontcourt Sideline

When administering a sideline throw-in, administering official shall identify and take a position at designated throw-in spot. Administering official may bounce ball to thrower, begin 5-second count, and observe throw-in area.
