Never 84 Feet Apart

When an end line throw-in is administered from backcourt, it is crucial that the new Lead takes a position that provides best possible coverage. This coverage is never 84 feet from end line throw-in.

Throw-In Backcourt End Line May Hand Ball or Bounce Pass

When administering an end line throw-in, administering official shall identify and take a position at designated throw-in spot. Administering official may back away and bounce ball to thrower and observe immediate throw-in area. Note: administering official shall not toss ball to thrower.
