Throw-In Nearest Spot Out-of-Bounds

(Left) All throw-ins in the backcourt and throw-ins for out-of-bounds violations will be at the nearest spot. (Right). Throw-ins in the frontcourt will be from one of the four designated spots except for throw-ins that result from out-of-bounds violations.

Throw-In Frontcourt Sideline Above Free Throw Line Extended

Whenever the ball goes out of bounds above the free-throw line extended on the Lead’s side of the basketline, the Trail moves to the opposite sideline to administer the throw-in. The Lead’s position along the end line is dependent upon the coverage needed (A, B, or C position). In some situations, the Lead may elect to remain on the ballside.
