The Trail Staying With Play

When the Lead is officiating a competitive matchup off-ball in the low post and the ball enters their PCA, the Trail should stay with the ball momentarily until the Lead has clearly accepted ball coverage.

Position Adjustment Crossover Step

(Left) The Trail position-adjusts in the same direction as the ball handler and has a straight-lined view. (Right) The Trail should position-adjust in the opposite direction of the ball handler and onto the court a step or two, which provides an open view between the offensive and defensive players.
