Reporting Area

Ruling Official Reports Foul, Goes to Opposite Side; Non-ruling Officials “Freeze” Vision, Observe Players To enhance communication and to avoid errors and mistakes, the official must make eye contact with the scorer to report each foul, time-out, warning, etc., to the scorer from within the designated reporting area.

Reporting official moves briskly around players to reporting area, observing both benches, then reports foul. Free (nonruling) officials freeze vision, observe all players while moving to new positions.
